Thank you for the reply.

Database block size is 8192. Multiplying with that block no. gives exact 2GB value.

I have Oracle 8i.
Do you know whether this bug is fixed in later Oracle versions.

You are right... Actually I had resized tablespace size to 11GB by thinking Solaris 2.6 supports 2GB limit.

I had wrongly assumed that tablespace size was 1.1GB counting bytes wrongly.

I have identified the table whose contents have been written beyond 2GB limit.

Is there anyway to get the contents of that table?

Because the of the ODBC tool that I am using, I won't be able to upgrade the OS to 5.8 till I get new version of the tool.

I am able to export all the tables except one which is giving this error.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
