I have Oracle 9i PE installed and it is working fine.
I want to use JBoss as an application server.
I can use either of them on the one machine, but not both at the same time.
When I try to start JBoss when Oracle is already running, JBoss has problems :
"java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind"

I was wondering if anyone has ever come across this problem or might have any advice to offer.

I am not sure about ORACLE 9i PERSONAL EDITION.
Generally 9i has its own Apache HTTP server.
When Apache is started it starts by default a java process(Jserv). 
If this JBOSS is also using Apache, then there will be
a conflict in the port.
Make JBOSS to listen in any other port
