hi,
when I launch ./cdROM/runInstaller , it create /temp/Orainstall structure and exit.
Why ?.
I have execute all steps from manual:
create grp DBA and user oracle of DBA
(how create correctly grp DBA and user oracle ??)
I have create oracle structure by oracle /app/oracle/..
, set the Oracle_home and base,
/temp dir is 400M big
run whit root the ./cdrom/rootPre.sh
ran whit oracle ./cdrom/runInstaller.sh
and nothing appened.
Where is my mistake ??

hi, I do this:
cd /oracle
../cdrom/runInstaller
runInstaller create the dir OraInstall in /tmp about 25 M end stop. The installer.log dosn't exist.
This is my "oracle" profile

NB oracle server is a aix 51 with no grafic terminal.
I operate by terminal on other server aix with X11.
