You have both Oracle 8i and 9i personal edition for Windows 98 available for download from the Oracle site.

It's a free download from Oracle site. But, you should have a high-speed line to download due to the large sizes of the zip files.

I think 9i asks for password for SYSTEM and SYS users during software setup. what did you setup?

By default, SYSTEM's password is MANAGER and

SYS --> CHANGE_ON_INSTALL
