Dear ALL,
I tried to install Oracle 8.1.7 on Windows XP (Pentium 4). But my startup application
remains ideal and quit down. Later i got a temporary problem of dumping the oracle cd on my
desktop and rename the file symcjit.dll, now it works fine.

Is there any patch available to getride of this problem. Pls mail me the link.

only oracle 8i behaves like that only with p4.
there is no patch for this.
