I recently upgraded my server to 2 Gigs of memory. Could anyone advise the appropriate values for the SGA variables current settings are as follows:
SHARED POOL 30M
BUFFER CACHE 18M
LARGE POOL 600K
JAVA POOL 20M
AND
SORT AREA SIZE 64K

I'm hoping to increase the performance of my server which is a SUN Sparc running Oracle 8.1.7..

Thanks

GJ
