hi all,
i have some prob with temp tablespace. i have allocated 4gb of space to temp, but still it is not sufficient. i increased it ot 4.5g. But, can't the contents be flushed in the temp tablespace, b'cos it keeps on growing.
How to free up the space occupied. I have set the pct increase to 0,and contents also temporary. But still, no solution.

Can anybody, give me the solution of freeing up the space in temp tablespace. Plz consider this an urgent.

All the replies are welcome

Hi ,

You can not freed the temporary tablespace, it will automatically flushed, if you bounce the instance.
Better way to add appropriate space. and reduce disk sorts.

Hi
There is no any another alternative.
Please try to reduce your disk sorts.
or increase your tablespace

I have been in this situation a couple of times. And any adjustment I make on the database does not seem to be enough. The solution for us was to modify/streamline the temp hungry sql statement.

Have a nice day.
