Hi,
We have oratab placed at a different location than the /var/opt/oracle/oratab. We have several databases already running on this server. I've already set the environment variable $ORATAB to the new location and also TNS_ADMIN to new locations. But when I try to run 'odma' (Oracle data migration assistant) and certain other tools, it still looks for the 'oratab' file in the default location. There is no 'oracle' directory in the /var/opt/ location. And I've no access to it.
How do I make these utilities point to my current oratab location?
Thanks

setting $ORATAB should help you.
else
remove / rename the default oratab
and
create a link in unix to point it to the new location.
