I have a Win2000 SP4 PC and I am unable to print from my application. It will go to the printer window and you can select how many copies you want but then it just kicks you out of the application. I also get this error message: ifrun60.exe - Application Error - The instruction at “0x5df87aad” referenced memory at “0x0253228c”. The memory could not be “read”. Any suggestions on what might be causing this problem or solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated. Question

Seems like a bug to me. What's your version ( exact version n°)?

Sounds like a bad version of Forms 6 or 6i. Yes ... what patchset of Form 6 do you have? (I will guess 7, 9, or 10.)

I have Oracle Forms 6.0.8.11.3 and the 6i patch. Also, other forms in the application are able to print. It is just this one that is giving me the error.

Do a Ctrl-Shft-K (compile all), not a Ctrl-k (compile), to compile the form before doing the generate (ctrl-t).

Forms 4.5 and Forms 9 are able to handle incremental compiles successfully, but Forms 6i does not incrementally compile very well at all.

Thanks David. I compiled it using Ctrl+Shift+K and it worked.

Yea ... it sux ... just get used to doing a ctrl-shft-k before doing your ctrl-t.

That 3 key combination has become such a habit I tend to use it in TOAD ( and MS WORD, where it means 'small caps', I've noticed) too Laughing.

It's something I do automatically before saving.
