How do i use the utl_smtp package given in forms 6i to send email?

i'm a n00b, therefore, please give a description step by step.

Search this forum for both 'utl_mail' and 'utl_smtp'. There are more questions than answers but the code that is in the questions is a great guide and the answers contain extracts from the manuals.

Go to http://otn.oracle.com/pls/db92/db92.federated_search and search for 'B10802'. It points to "PL/SQL, Packages and Types Reference, 10g Release 1 (10.1)". Look in there for these packages.

When all else fails, google it.
